Lens Photo - Variety

Our group chose this photo from Lens as the best one that used the variety principle of design in the slideshow.

1. It has balance with the two people in the foreground balanced out by the four in the background.
2. There's repetition in both the two people with flutes in the foreground and the people enjoying the music in the background.
3. There's movement as well. The eye is drawn to the drummer and the flautist playing in the foreground. The angle of the girl's flute leads the eye to the people in the back, and from them you look at the people along the side of the photo.
4. The photo also has rhythm. You can see the movement in the photo in the stance of the musicians and the swaying of the people in the background.
